Im thinking of de-chroming the car......so headlight rings, belt-line, door handles, scoop, grill and petrol cap all maybe goin Gloss black to tie in with the roof and mirrors.
The question is (and its a stupid one!) are all these metal or plastic??! Obviously if they are plastic i'll get them painted but if theyr metal then i can get them powdercoated!

Any help as usual very much appreciated!

How's about just getting them wrapped ?
It's a lot cheaper than painting 'em and it's not much grief to put 'em back to standard if you get bored of the look.

This is not the best pic of mi GP to fully demonstrate what I mean but at least you can see the headlight rings and beltline in it..... http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08/06/2439eb49cf4edcc3e9c524bd37ff68f3.jpg

All that's needed is really a light rub down with scotch paper, etch primer and paint / lacquer ...

A guy in Sheffield did my wrapping, I did the beltline 3 years ago, but if you can get them painted for free it looks like that's your best route.

Only thing about painting the headlight rings is that they will get chipped, however if they are getting painted for free go for it.

The vinyl can get marked too William and a chunk out the vinyl is sometimes hard to disguise than a bit of touch up paint ... Frees free so do it :)

My wrapped lightrings have stood up quite well over the 2 and a bit years that they have been on runs. More so than anything that has been painted

Shouldn't be any stones to chip when your driving in front of everything else on the roads.

Woooosh... Follow the leader........

Mine too William although I always take it very steady when I'm out on a run.

How do you do the beltlines?
Just get a hold of a belt line kit (message Rob he may have some left) fairly easy job to do ,just make sure belt line is really clean (Use some IPA) and it's not cold when you apply
