Picked up my R53 last week and loving bein back in a Mini again!
This Sunday im hoping to get time to get to know the car and change the crank sensor O ring, oil filter housing gasket, sump pan gasket n change the bypass valve! :GULP:
After all thts done i'll be changing to a 15% reduced pulley and gates belt and probably an Orranje Stealth air box. Has anyone got one of these air boxes on the car? Are they beneficial or am i better saving the money n just get a panel filter?
Also has anyone on here done any off the work mentioned above to their car and gimme any pointers!
Cheers, Ian

Alright
There are a few running the orranje box but not sure if you can get them as Rich has stopped trading just now due to ill health !!
As for the pulley I have the 8 rib kit from Kavs and it's fantastic bit of kit I went for +2 crank and -15 SC pulley
I am also just waiting for my box to come back from from Kavs so can let you know what I think after that ;)

Sounds like you have most things covered. Craig has the Orranje box fitted to his car ad he loves it, Hes on holiday just now but im sure he will be along shortly to give his comments on it. You could go for a DaveF filter like Davy or as Rob has said the Kavs intake. Only other thing I would say that your missing is an exhaust and manifold, but you may have this covered. Looking forward to seeing how the car come son

The Orranje Stealth box is good as it draws cold air from the scuttle and the front of the car. You hear more Charger whine too :). Better than a panel filter? Yes. It's a bit fiddly to fit but I'd say worth it :)

Thanks for the replies and recommendations guys.
How much is the Orranje set up?
Yeah think ive most things covered with the gaskets etc im replacing, not necessarily needing them but these seem to be where most seep oil so just thought i'd take preventative measures plus.....it'll get me to know the car better!
Goin to 'service' the supercharger too, the tiny amount of oil in these (if theres any left in there!) will be like treacle!! Still baffles me why BMW didnt make them serviceable item!!
Sounds like there may be a wee leak from the bypass valve too......so probs just swap tht over as ive got one spare here anyway!
If anyone wants to lend a hand then please feel free you kind, knowledgeable people! :thumbs up:
