Hello everyone!
Apologies, I've been lurking this site for a while, ever since my trip up to Bonnie Scotland with the GP crowd, meeting up with you good folk for a whizz around Glencoe and Oban!
Belatedly, I'd like to thank all of you for a great welcome and excellent time whilst up here visiting.
My father came from Beauly near Inverness, though I've not had the opportunity to visit since I was a kid.
Your photos did far more justice to the drive than mine, I was happy just to keep up with youse! I do remember stunning scenery and a memorable drive, so won't bore you with them here, save for:

Needless to say I'll be up again, if you'll have me as I really enjoyed myself!
Update on the car is that I've been to 1320 MINI this week for some much needed updates, including 17% reduced pulley, Janspeed manifold, Tomcat and ST XTA coilovers!
http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/07/10/92e3da5673603ab3bec89db312a4818d.jpg
I'm waiting on Yokohama AD08Rs to come in to fit onto the 17" wheels I've just got in, so I can have the coilovers lowered and set up. Next week...?!
Looking forward to keeping up with you all next time!
Cheers
T

Ta-Da!
Tyres arrived and are finally fitted to the car!
What's all the fuss about? 17" wheels and AD08Rs I think...
Looking forward to getting the suspension sorted on 5th Aug.
Looks like I'll need a rear control arm or something...drop links as well.

ST XTAs sorted this week, set up and corner-weighted. Lowered a tad too!
No droplinks required, as not being lowered enough to need them. Also the Eibach RCAs are going back to Lohen, as they weren't required to get the rear camber sorted. I didn't know that the R56 rear suspension has camber adjustment built-in, but Sussex Road & Race did!
I believe that I'm running 1.5 rear, 1.35 front. [emoji4]
I had to go back and get the height increased by about 10mm, as I couldn't live with the amount of scraping once I'd got in it...

Latest update, along with repainted/tarted up front bumper at the weekend, was a visit to 1320 Mini today.
Sorted!
Feeble first run on the dyno confirmed that something was amiss...knackered bypass valve!
Wondered why I couldn't pull the top off a rice pudding...
One new valve later and I'd regained the missing 30bhp!
All good to proceed to the real reason for the visit, Race Cat Camshaft, 550 injectors and the map!
Second dyno run shows 208.4whp!
Brilliant!
That'll do me...

I also got to see and hear the Turbo-modded GP1 from the Netherlands! Sounds great. Plenty power!

'Cos HBT2 seems to have knackered the welds on the rear mounting hangers on the two back boxes and the OEM engine mount, I've had some more new stuff fitted today!
...or is it just coincidence on a 10 Y/O car...I doubt it![emoji15]
Anyway, new deresonated Milltek exhaust and Vibra Technik engine mount went on today.
Louder than OEM ones, but still has the burbles, pops and farts, so happy (more so than the neighbours...)!

It's a shame that you had to replace them instead of doing it through want but it's great to see a few upgrades to 1321.

Yeah I know, but the TIG welding couldn't be done onsite, so would have had to leave the car and get home without public transport etc. I'm having the hangers rewelded, so I can store it or sell on. Tips are a few quid anyhow.
MOT due next month, engine mount knackered, as Hutch declared when I was at 1320 last Saturday, "the whole engine rocked!"[emoji15], so needed doing.
Milltek worth the warranty too...
Bit louder though...neighbours probably less than chuffed![emoji38]
