Welcome to another F56 JCW owner... I think there may be a few extras in there that I didn't go for with my austerity-spec model!

Yes probably am the furthest away member but returning home next year with the Mini in a container.... Just need to figure out how to change the Nav. maps and maybe the speedo so it reads mph... But for now time to enjoy the Japan highways.. Very few speed cameras here :-)

Ericke, on a slightly different topic, what time of year, weather wise, is the best time to Visit Japan?

Spring or Autumn are great here perfect temperature and very little rain... Summer is hell; hot (mid to high 30c's) & humid, Winter is also not so bad; generally no rain & sunny days but can be very cold... Very little snow in the East but plenty in the west & north... Mid to late March is quite spectacular with the Sakura (Cherry Blossom) blooming, quite a sight if you time it right...

Thanks Ericke. Thinking about an island cruise and Tokyo stop around about May time 2016. Will need to work out a plan and the finances. Would love to see the Sakura, but not sure we can cruise that early in the year.
