Does anybody know if its a big job to remove the plastic door trims on my r56. I fancy a change of colour but dont want to go and take the full door pannel off if it is'nt necessary.

I presume it's the interior door trim you're talking about ?
I'm sure it's easy enough ...

If the construction is the same as the R50/52/53, what you're talking about isn't that easy. The coloured plastic section making up the storage pocket and handle web are plastic welded and epoxy'd in place having passed through the door card.

Removing the entire door card is a doddle. There's a plastic pin near the door opener, remove that, remove the right around it and prise the card off from the bottom. Have a few spare clips handy in case some break. However, to replace the colour line you need to drill out the existing ones and glue the replacements back in. It will be easier to change the entire card. There's a set with piano black trim for sale on ebay now for £130 if you want a guide. Its something I was thinking of myself

I just done the front two on the dash yesterday to see if i like them and they came up amazing.im thinking about masking the door off and spraying them in place. Im not too bad at spraying so i think it might be easier and cheaper to do it that way.
