Seahouses & Bamburgh Run - Sunday 9th August 2015

Lenore and I (with able help from Neil & Lorna) are going to do another run later this summer. It's a new run - although we have been to Seahouses previously on the Holy Island Run a few years ago. This time we're starting in Galashiels, then heading out towards Kelso, round the top edge of the Cheviot Hills, down through Wooler and across country to Seahouses for a fish & chips late lunch. Then it's off the very short distance to Bamburgh for a wander around this picturesque little village. There are loads of cafes and bars to chill in - and most have beer gardens. Or there is also the iconic Bamburgh Castle for those who want to brush up on their Anglo Saxon history.

The run itself will probably not be much more than 60 miles, and will end in Bamburgh in the afternoon.

Still plenty room for more runners and riders. It's a nice short route we have planned and concious that everyone will have a fair old distance to travel home after the run is finished we are aiming to be finished mid afternoon.
