Sam will still be on bottles ect so being out on the road would jot be pratical and then if we where to do the same as last year and go in to town and stuff at night we would not be able to join in as the kids would need bed and bath ect and its a bit fast paced for my liking when have the kids in the back im more like grandad lol

Also there would be no chance of fitting us all buggys lugage ect in a mini and as im not allowed to bring the Audi......

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Christine family are not fit enuf to look after very young kids for overnight stays, especially 2 off them under 3 as it's hard work !! and they also look after Christine ' s brothers kid full time.
We would have to bring the Audi with us if we where all to come as you try geting a bottle sterilzer, doubble buggy and luggage for 4 people in the boot of a R53 as there will be no space in the back seats as the kids would be there.
And as said we would have to keep stopping to feed Sam as he will still be on bottles then at nights we would be stuck in the room with the kids as would not feel safe leaving them on there own.

This has not been an easy decision for us we have looked to see if we could work something out but it's just dose not seem possible unfortunately. More to the point I hate loosing money !!

Ah sorry Rob yeah does sound like they'd have way too much on their plate with all the youngsters ... You'd be no better off with the Audi though as it still would mean you were in your rooms of having to look after the children. I appreciate it can't be easy Rob sorry I can't help and I'll not tell you what I'd do lol .... :):)

That's right Crombers... Rob and Christine were the 'foundations' in last year's quiz, and as we know, no structure is safe without reliable foundations. I heard it was won by a crack team from Lanarkshire... or was that a team ON crack from Lanarkshire? - a big bloke and a wee bloke

But back to reality, as you said there's always next year folks :thumbs up:

Have been speaking to Brian who has kindly allowed me to join in on this event. After missing several Scotland runs over the years due to my own stupidity and bad planning, I am really excited about finally getting to join in on one.

I imagine I'll probably be convoying up with T but I need to run this past him.

Looking forward to seeing you all later in the year!

Yourself & T are more than welcome to nip into Morgan Mansion on the way up for a wee break, literally, if you want to.
We live only 3 miles off the A1 so it's not a huge detour for you both.
It'll then leave a very steady 2 hour cruise up to Scarborough as a convoy.

Bags Andrew in my team for the quiz again! We had the bases covered last year with Andrew on the modern stuff and me on the 'Older Fart' knowledge. We also had all the height bases covered, me flying at low altitude and Andrew up there in the Stratosphere.

Will the Lanarkshire Lads triumph again this year? Is Davy still open to bribery? Why are the Hobbit films nowhere near as good as the Lord of the Rings ones? Why does the phone ring every bloody time you go to the loo? All these questions (and more) will be answered (probably) when we get together for 'Heartbeat Quiz 2 - The Reckoning'. Be there... Or be somewhere else!

EcosseGP

Mike yes I think there's a couple of places left. The format is that we'll meet up and travel down to the hotel together. We all stay at the same place and we book out the whole hotel. We have a leisurely first night when we arrive with a trip down to the "front" at Scarborough. The second day is a run with stops for photos, drinks, loo, lunch etc. That evening we all get together for a quiz, raffle, etc and of course the usual banter. Day three we will be heading to Eden Camp for a visit and then a short run before dinner and a relaxing evening. Day four will be back up the road ...
Please read some of last years comments, reviews, check out the photos and tell me you don't want to go. I don't recall a better time ever in a MINI and with such good friends. You will not be alone in being a first time NMS run member and we do have a few GPUKOC guests joining us too. Genuinely you'll be hard pushed to find a better MINI adventure ever ....
Please if you have any questions or would like to know anything else just ask. There are plenty of people on here that will be able to assist if you're nervous about anything at all.

As well as having a ball, we do the 'odd beer' (courtesy of the honesty bar) with banter & the grub is top notch too :thumbs up:

Hi peeps that's us back from paying The Grainery , and sorting a few things out . If you were there last year I have put you in the same bedroom . We will get Burger and Chips with a wee drink on the Wednesday night same deal as last year . Laura and Mark are working on a wee meal deal for the Thursday night (will keep you posted on that when I get it ) .

Hoping to get us all to set off on The Tuesday at 9.30am so that will be a 9am meet . We will have 1 stop on the way down (but if you need to pee we will stop for a pee dash lol ) This is so we can get more time in Scarborough on the Tuesday .

Wednesday we will have our run doing some of the same route as last year but with a bit of a twist at the start . Hopefully we will stop at same pub as last time for Lunch, then follow the same route to Heartbeat stop .

Thursday we will go to Eden Camp and stay as long as we want , it opens at 10am and close's at 5pm . Depending on what time we leave ,we may have a small run or just go back to base . For our meal and then a fun night .

I hope this all sounds good for everyone xxxx
