15/2/15 - Run to Largs

Hello all. It's been a while since my run and I'm dying to do another so I'm thinking of a wee trip down to Largs for fish n chips and ice cream (can't beat Nardinis ice cream)

Meet at Showcase Bargeddie, G69 7TZ for say 11am.

Who's up for it?


Usual NMS run rules apply and there won't be run notes so I'll make sure you all have my mobile number before we set off.

How old is your wee one ?

IF I wasn't working (nightshift) on Sunday & IF we weren't going to a wedding on Saturday we would have been up for this. A great wee run & a chippy by the seaside, super 'supper' stuff. Hope you guys have a good un & something similar happens again, a finer Sunday afternoon there ain't :thumbs up:

What route you thinking of?

Still undecided but possibly M77,A77 or Eaglesham moor then B778, A760 and come back via m8 possibly. What do you guys think? Would you prefer to go M77 to just past Newton Mearns then the old road or Eaglesham moor? If we go Eaglesham we can change the start point to strathy park at the holiday inn express car park just off the Raith interchange.

Only problem I had with the Moor road last time was the number of cyclists that where on it, other than that it's a nice road, quick in places as well ;) On the other hand the M77 is usually crawling with unmarked cars :(

Sticking together through EK might be a wee issue, but its your run so we'll follow your lead :thumbs up:

As long as I get my ice cream we're all good :lol:

I'll have a think, if we can bring our radios then I'm sure we'll be fine I'll bring my spare and if someone else can bring a spare then we'll all have radios incase we do decide to go through East Kilbride.

Not a problem went a bit different to where I thought it would take us but still ended up on good roads lol

Aye great roads, we went back and headed up the A719 and got on the A71 that way.

Thanks for organising the run yesterday Eddie had a great time. Was feeling really rough towards the end so sorry if I've passed that on to anyone, felt fine in the morning when I left home.

In my defence I did try to find a jetwash that was open in the morning but they where all shut :(

And yes it is still manky the now!
