Fast & Furious Movie MINI Run - Sunday 5th April

The seventh (and last) Fast & Furious movie hits cinemas on 3rd April this year. We're organising one of our legendary MOVIE MINI RUN's to see the film in our cinema.

Details are as follows:


SUNDAY 5th APRIL
Meet in ASDA Car Park Galashiels at 9.15am.
Head round to the cinema for a private show of the film. Film will be starting at 9.45am
After the film has finished, head back to the cars and we'll make our way to Milestone Garden Centre for lunch
After lunch, we've plotted out a route taking in some great driving roads around the Borders finishing up just outside Selkirk
There will be an Easter egg hunt en route at Scott's View
The whole day will finish about 4.00pm to 4.30pm at Water Wheel Tea Room

The film is a 12A so if any of you want to bring kids that's fine.

Unfortunately we have to account for ALL the customers in a hall watching the film, so we have to charge entry - even for private shows! But we'll restrict that to a discounted price, probably along the lines of everyone just pays child price.

I realise there's quite a few TBC's and unknowns at the moment, but as we get closer to the date I'll have more concrete info for everyone.

This film looks awesome, and will hopefully be a fitting tribute to Paul Walker who sadly died in 2013, when the film was part-shot.

William has kindly agreed to run a convoy down from Edinburgh area (he's arranging a separate thread for that), to ASDA. John I completely understand. The problem is that we need to start the film so early, to free up the cinema for Joe-public for the matinees. But it makes for an unreasonably long day for you guys up in the frozen North. :frown:

As above a massive thanks to the Pooles for making today happen and certainly was worth the early rise ... Excellent relaxing day all round which is what makes it so enjoyable. A big thanks for the Easter egg too !! I'm 100% certain it'll not last long once Catherine sees it :)
