Just thought I would show the motif on my work van. I asked for a R60 but there is no such pic. 5527

Is a long dreamt dream of mine to one day be able to afford to get a K'a'rcher PW to wash my car with instead of just hose, two buckets and wash mitt method
...hopefully one day (then again I've been telling myself this for MANY years already )

I currently only use my Karcher to snow foam - what benefits would I get from a hot pressure washer? I could be tempted if convinced!

The benefits I find are bugs and flys come off very well when hit with hot water (car polished and no use of snow foam)and in the winter again just with hot water ,winter grime falls off very well, under bonnet areas, gear boxes, engine cleaning is better with hot water.used in conjunction with degreaser chemicals also work better with hot water

What sort of £££ are we talking?

I just use my pressure water with my hot water tap. Got a temp valve fitted so it's constantly at 38 degrees 😃

Like Brian says it's great for getting grime and bugs off. I also noticed 2 weekends ago that I could wash the car with hot thro the pressure washer when cold was freezing on the car :)

Mmm, I'll have to look into this hot (warm) water jet washing for when we move into the new pad.
Do you need a specific jet wash for warm water ?
I've promised myself a new jet wash so I may as well treat myself to sommat nice.

I didn't look at the cheaper ones Pete as I'd had so many problems with the cheaper ones. I spent a significant amount (well for me) on mine and got a Pro version of a Karcher after speaking with Ian King about his. It memory serves right it was just under £700 but it has a proper motor in it. Brass pump and motor and it also has oil like an engine (which I need to change). Think mine is a 7/13...

Do these hot washers heat the water themselves? I.e. you still connect them to the cold outside tap?

Oooh, that's a bit steep for me Craig. I'll only buy Kärcher machines but I'm looking at about the £100-200 bracket.
Thanks anyways.

the only drawback of hot machines is the price

I do have three cars to look after but with the imminent spending on loads of new stuff when we move I may struggle to persuade 'Ar Lass that £800 would be a very wise investment.

....I fear there may be bloodshed.

I'm hoping the fact that this would be used on her 2 cars as well justifies it ;)

Fair point Gordon.
I'll use that in my defense.

Tell her you'll be able to hopefully clean the cars quicker and thereby be able to spend extra time with her

The K4 range may just be the machine you are looking for. Albeit not heated depending on model chosen most have great accessories for car and home use. ;)
