Cars and Coffee IV - Sunday 1st Feb 2015

Cars and Coffee is back for it's first meet of 2015. This time we are going north east so all you Perth/Dundee/Aberdeen folk, get your name down as this is the closest we will get to you all for a meet. I'm sure a lot of the regulars will also turn up for a wee run out.

The venue is Brechin Castle Centre (http://www.brechincastlecentre.co.uk/) (DD9 6RL) which is right next to the A90 so easy to get to and aslong as the weather plays ball, we shouldn't have any issues. As always tho at this time of year, if you have your name down, please keep an eye on the forum for any late call off of the event due to bad weather. Thanks

Don't worry we were all noobs at one point :) I can remember my first run (September 2013) I was worried but I was made to feel extremely welcome and part of the group from the very start and even though I'm still relatively new I feel like I'm in with the woodwork, it's great.

Most of the admin/mods will have their NMS tops on (as will others) so you will be able to tell who is who :thumbs up:

Great to see everybody today all the usual suspects and great to put faces to names of some of our newer members. Was absolutely freezing in that car park but brekkie and later cake made up for that.

Special thanks of course to Stoney for providing the chauffeur driven transport for myself and Elfman, the S4 is a very nice place to spend a couple of hours. I did have Jessica giving me a look that said "who's this big lump beside me!" for a part of it.

Thanks Craig for organising things today, shame that's the last Cars and Coffee till later in the year, but I'll look forward to it's return :thumbs up:

Well like everyone else has said it was great to catch up with old friends and of course meet some more new members that took the time to join us. It's always nice to put faces to forum names and I did try and get round everyone at some point I think.
Thanks again to the big fella for taking the time to organise the run (and chauffeur me about today) and at least the weather stayed dry if not a little chilly. I did try and get a few photos of the cars at some point before I lost the feeling in my fingers but as always if there isn't one there I apologise now and just shout I'm bound to have something ..
Jackie I love the wee buggy and I'm sure you'll have got a few ideas for changing a few bits after speaking to everyone today and at least you got to check the engine is still under the bonnet ! Happy to help with your brake calliper dilemma and if I'm up your way I'll give you a shout.

Thanks again to all that have made it to the cars and coffee meets its been good fun and has allowed NMS members to get to know each other and discuss things face to face over a coffee and a cake (or two) .. Please don't be shy and I'd encourage you all to get involved in the up and coming runs, meets and shows that are coming up over the "warmer months" and if there's something you'd like to do or think that NMS could be involved in please shout out and we'll have a look at it.

Just realised how late (or early) it is!

Thanks Craig for organising a fine day out. You even arranged some fab weather! It was great to see some of my old chums and meet the new folks too. I hope you enjoyed the NMS Experience and that it's just the start of a long and happy adventure. NMS really is the best way to get the most out of your MINI. Great MINIs, but more importantly, great people.

Thanks to Stoney for the lift in the excellent S4 and Jamie for the wee hurl in his wee beastie - took me back to my early tuning days... Oh and cheers Christina for some sound advice.

It was great to have a blether today and has given me some new incentive to get G3 ELF out of the garage after a long layoff - at least to put my new NMS stickers on it! :smilewinkgrin:

It's different when you don't turn up in your own MINI although the big fellas feels like it sometimes the amount of time we've spent on it lol.
I was at a total loss when we got back yesterday as I'd normally be out with the bucket and sponge cleaning the car .. maybe should have done the convertible just to settle me down !!

Well here it is... Was out with the guys a I play badminton with at the Scottish championships in Perth on Sat.. then we went for a curry and I was forced to have a beer or 3(ish). After that and another late night in Glasgow on Friday I was in no state to be up to meet you lot - never mind being anywhere near a car! :beer:
