Alpine stereo upgrade or something else?.

Dear all,

Long story short, but i was 'give' £400 dealer credit by Mini.

Im looking to invest this in a stereo up grade. My dealer will fit the Alpine upgrade for £560 thats 160 after the credit is applied.

What are everyones view on the Alpine system and I assume im limited to this being my only upgrade as the car is under warranty?

Alpine have always made very good head units and if you're restricted by the dealer option and it's warranty then I would say that it's a sensible option. Not heard the difference between the standard head unit and the Alpine one so not sure if it's worth the £160 extra you'd have to pay. Maybe someone will be along shortly to advise you but if it's not worth it I wouldn't stump out the extra money just because you've got a "credit" for one .. all they're going to do is relieve you of your money for no benefit ..
