Advice needed please

My drivers side headlight is not clear like my passenger side one but I'm sure it's not moisture and was hoping someone might know why it's like this and how to sort. Try a glass polishing kit, or a machine polisher

If you've not got any of the above you can try using toothpaste on it !!

You could even use some fine wet and dry on it. I found a cracking 'how to' somewhere once. See if I can find it for you...

Think I used a finer grade paper and some mizerna polish to do my old Clio runabout lights

Mind you you could probably get a 2nd hand unit for less than the cost of most of that

IMO you'll be taking a chance using wet n dry on it unless you're confident knowing what you're doing ... Meguiars do a headlight restoration kit if you wanted to go down that route

Thanks for the advice guys , will definitely try the toothpaste tip first! I'm wanting to Joey the headlights but wanted to wait to know if it was fixable before trying it, does it matter that I've got xenons as standard when it comes to the Joey mod?

No it certainly doesn't and all will be revealed on Sunday ... It's not easy though that's for sure.
It just depends on how far you want to go with it all.
I've done both the GP and S done without any issues ...

Pre-facelift lights aren't as easy to joey, the internals are different. Not many of them have been done because of this

IMO I don't see the difference with the internals it's the hassle factor of splitting the light I think that puts folk off. The only thing that you need to watch once the lights are split with older models is the chrome reflective material when masked up for painting can flake .. The projector style xenons have three clips that can prove a hassle to release if you want to remove it for painting.

^^ they are all facelift lights, just halogen & xenon variants. Look at a pre-facelift light - it's only the lower half surround that's not a reflector, and I'm sure someone on MT tried it a while ago and it wasn't a great success, or they didn't go ahead.
