New but not new member

Hi, I'm Chris and I'm a new but not new member, basically I signed up years ago to promote the Aberdeen Mini Owners club show when we used to run it at Alford.
I've only recently bought my First MINI after years of owning classics (still got two, an Australian clubman import and a vauxhall red top ongoing project.)

My car is an 03 Cooper S with aero kit and also been through GTTuning for their 220 pack.

Few things I want to change to make it my own, think I'll be changing the wheels, the white ones do look good but are an absolute nightmare to keep clean. Also be losing some of the chrome bits, I'm not a fan of chrome! Tempted to go with Red roof and mirror caps or even go for a brighter colour..

Missus also has a R56 Cooper and my sister in law is on here with her 03 Cooper S so my mini obsession must be catching!

Hi Chris, looks fantastic, my favourite R53 colour combination DS with the white roof.

I agree with your views on chrome, I too removed my chrome mirror caps and boot handle. There's a white set of mirror caps just listed on eBay tonight. If you do change them, remove the mirrors first so that you don't snap the fastenings on the covers. There are guides online.

You've picked a great forum to be part of, everyone is very helpful and friendly and I've never seen or heard of a troll yet here.

Changing the wheels to a lighter set and ditching the runflats, if you've got them that is, is one of the best things I did, it changes the feel of the car completely.

Cheers everyone, RPN no I'm in dyce and work in westhill so usually there.. Any mods are on hold for a wee while as I've just changed jobs.
