Reading the factory tour thread got me thinking... it's a few years since I was there, and I was wondering about cycling there, as a sponsored charity thing, sometime in 2015?

It's just under 400 miles or so from Stirling, so that's a relatively straightforward 4 day ride down there.

We'd need support cars with spares etc, plus carriage of the bikes home, but I reckon that would be really good fun, plus we could raise £££ for a deserving cause.

Anyone else up for this?

I think that could be a laugh... I'm more likely to be in the support vehicle driving.. :)

I've always fancied doing something like this, I'd have to get my hands on a road bike to go with the mountain bike, but it would allow me to hopefully shift a chunk of this weight I'm carrying!

We'd of course have to choose the route carefully - I'm not a fan of going uphill

Oh Aye, and I've got an extra 100-odd miles to cycle to meet you soft southerners in the central belt to start with :)

I've got a trailer that all the bikes could go back into for the journey home :)
