Factory tour

Evening all ,I have had it confirmed today that the factory tours have restarted ,I know it may be short notice for some but I have made a request for the 11/08/2014 which is a Monday and the day after MITP, if you can make this I would urge you to do this as its a great tour and a must if you have never been before,I have chosen the exclusive tour (which we have always done) and the max number on this tour is 15 people. The cost for 15 going is approx. £13.00 if we get less to go the cost would rise pro rata.we are waiting on the request being accepted ,if it is we would stay on the sunday night at the usual Premier inn Oxford. when we hear back I will post ASAP.

Tour confirmed 13.00pm got to be there 15 min before tour starts
once money is paid it will not be refundable, so please make sure you are going

Brian can I just ask a few questions to try and organise things ..

We heading to oxford straight after MITP to stay there overnight ?
What sort of time will the tour take place & how long will it last ?
We staying down after that or starting to head up the road ?

Sorry for the questions but just trying to work out if I can juggle shifts to accommodate it ..

Yes Davie for those at MITP ,leave MITP and travel to oxford premier inn (60 miles approx) stay the night.
no time confirmed or indeed tour (waiting on confirmation) takes about 2-3hours (others will confirm)
then convoy home after tour on Monday,will ask for early tour but pretty much up to MINI. I now this is vague but until MINI confirm it's all we can do.

Oh that was amazing! Can we go back next week? In fact I'd be happy to go every week :) it's a lot bigger than I expected. It seemed like organised chaos, I wouldn't like to work inside that factory it'd be like Edinburgh city centre at rush hour every minute, every day.

Firstly massive thanks for organising the tour and like the others have said it was truly amazing. I could have stood have watched those robots all day and being able to see how things work in the factory was just incredible. Good job the jackets didn't have any pockets all those brand new spare parts !
I agree with Eddie and Andy if you're a MINI owner/enthusiast it's a must ... and I'm sure they'll be something different to see during every visit.
A great day and I've got to say I'll be back ...

Firstly thank you to Brian and William for organising the visit, it finished off an excellent long weekend brilliantly.
It was absolutely stunning !!
I've seen loads of documentaries about car factories before but to see one in the flesh was just unbelievable.
Well worth a visit for any car enthusiast not just MINI owners.
A cracking tour with loads of insight and information on how MINI's are actually made.
Thank you for letting me be part of a very enjoyable experience.

He's one of the guides who has worked at the plant as man and boy. He worked on the original minis too. Such a great guy. Also Terry Stringer was there doing another tour and he's a great guy. Another John used to do the tours but he was suffering cancer and retired... He also worked at the plant man and boy
