Eddie's Elusive Run - 15th June [Archive]

So here it is, my first run :thumbs up:

I've got the route planned, all I have to sort out is proper run notes and a decent place for lunch, that will be done next weekend. I know some won't be able to make it as it's Fathers Day but that's understandable. I also know it's a bit on the long side especially for us East coasters but it's worth it :D

Below is the route we'll be taking, I've seen a place in St John's Town of Dalry that looks ok, I'll pop in and ask if they'll be able to have us in.

Count me in Eddie - was over some of those roads on Saturday as well!

This'll be the shortest journey home for me from a run, I live about 5 minutes from Hamilton Services :thumbs up:

Eddie I'm sorry we won't be able to make your first run. Looks like a great route but too long a day for us. We've just got too much prep work on for going on holiday soon after. Also, it's Queens final and I'm hoping to watch Andy Murray retain his crown. :blush:

Theres a mile stretch of the leadhills road thats been resurfaced. Fresh tarmac is the best!

As you pass the roundabout under the bypass it's on the right, it's well sign posted ;) on the opposite side of the road from the retail park

Thanks for a great run today Eddie (and Rachael). Great choice of roads and the wee stop at Drumlanrig for photos was a good choice :thumbs up: Must go back there sometime for a proper look around. I've hopefully got a bit of video as well, will find out when I get it off the camera later! I could get used to finishes that close to home as well :)

Hope the alloys not too badly damaged Jamie, fingers crossed it won't cost too much to sort out or replace.

No problem Andrew, I agree I think an NMS day at Drumlanrig would be fantastic. Can't wait to see the video, I must remember my Go Pro next time.

Thanks everyone for coming and making my first run an easy day.

Sorry for the last minute overtake before the layby I thought we had enough room, blame your navigators :lol: it is highlighted well on the notes :P joking aside I apologise and should've went with my gut feeling and stayed behind the Corsa, I'll know next time :lol:

I really enjoy that route, I'd say it's quite a demanding drive and requires a lot of concentration and a fair bit of skill but it's so much fun, even though we were taking it relatively easy.

Fantastic run today Eddie, a huge well done on your first looking forward to the second already. Great pace, right amount of stops and a great lunch. The people who couldn't make today definitely missed out. Will get some pictures up in a bit.
