R56 Steering Wheel on R53

Does anyone know if the R56 Steering wheel fits the R53 ?

I am not concerned about the airbag and horn wiring as I can sort that out, I just wasnt sure if the main shaft has the same number of splines or not ?

I want to change my exsisting wheel as Im not a fan of the two spoke style so I fancy upgrading to a nice 3 spoke one, possibly a JCW one if I can find one for a reasonalble price !

dont think so but you can get R53 3 spoke jcw wheels but are like hens teeth unless you buy new
