Its good to back on the forum after about 4 years. I'm delighted that Harry Fairbairn have been given the opportunity by William and Brian to get involved as a sponsor and i will be making sure as the Marketing Manager for the HF Group that the NMS community get the most out of our partnership. We have got lots of things planned and some great offers in the pipeline for you all.

I have been dabbling in the VW world for a few years now and although the forum is all about MINI here are some photos of my Golf.

Ive got a bit of a wheel fetish and have had 5 sets of wheels in the last 3 years the most current being my 19" BBS CH along with a few coilover kits. My current suspension set up is an H&R Ah Exclusive 110mm kit as supplied by Still Static in the UK. Allowing me to run crazy low and still have the same comfort or better than i would with a standard suspension. You really have to experience it to believe it. H&R and Ah Exclusive have done a lot of work with these special order kits. I'm currently running 90mm lower.

Nice.:thumbs up::thumbs up:

Also, you must have been hangin' with the Ryan Kennedy "School of lowering cars". Do you not get tyre rub on a big bump?

Not bad for a golf of that age I'm more a mrk2 fan well had 2 off them  dubs can go low the acres allow for it as where you would have to roll the arches in a MINI to go that low

No tyre rub Andy even with full boot load and passengers . I run a sensible offset and slightly narrower tyre.

Need to try and put my BBS back on this weekend. Fed up running about on 17" with winter tractor tyres but the comfort has been brilliant.

So look what a Rubbernecker did to my pride and joy.

2 weeks ago i was first on scene at an accident. Parked car up at side of carriageway with hazzards on and went to the assistance of one of the injured in a car. Called 999. 15 Minutes later whilst Police and emergency crews were in attendance.... you know whats coming next... Some idiot ran straight in to the rear of my car witnessed by myself and 2 traffic officers whilst we stood on the central reservation.

Gutting to watch that happen to your car. Driver was charged with careless and reckless driving on the spot and did not even care about what he had done???

Car was just declared a total loss at the end of last week by insurance company as it twisted the chassis in addition to the visible damage. I am getting a good settlement from the Insurance company for my Golf added to the fact the insurance company let me salvage my BBS wheels that escaped undamaged so worked out ok in the end given the fact i have lost a car that brought me so much enjoyment.

Next up BMW 335d M Sport xDrive Saloon due in October so looking forward to that...

Yeah. My good samaritan back fired on me.

And yes the 335d will fairly shift with its 313hp on tap......

That looks like you'd have had a fair bit of whiplash if you were in the car, but it's got to be awful seeing someone destroy your pride and joy, I know I'd be devastated. I've driven an E60 535d and I'm sure that was 272 bhp (thought it was a bit higher than 231) I can't imagine what it'd be like with 313! It'll never stop pulling!

And also thankful that my 12 week old baby Charlotte wasn't in the back. I would have taken her out though beforehand and not left her sitting in the car as you do hear some horror stories with people breaking down and other cars running in to them almost just as what happened to me.

Disaster and all to often these things happens. It does show how dangerous stopping to slow down to look at accidents can be and if everyone just concentrated on driving rather than trying to video or take photos of the accidents nothing like this would happen. Glad to hear though you rescued the wheels and no one was hurt. Hope the new car makes up for the disaster.

Ok its not a MINI!

Had my BMW 335d xDrive M Sport for 2 months now and i absolutely love it. The performance out of this thing is out of this world. Its so so quick and i now see what our guys mean when they say the mid range on this car out performs the M3 albeit unpublicised by BMW as would make the M3 look inferior.. Amazing for a diesel and yet still maintaining over 40/45 mpg.

The 4 wheel drive has been great in the last few days with all the snow too.

Anyway here are a few pics
