Are you the ultimate MINI Geek? We are looking for the biggest MINI Fan! Each club must nominate one person to prove they know the most about MINI! We will have a live gameshow at the show where you will be able to prove you know the most about MINI! So do you know everything there is to know about the MINI????

The Great MINI Bake Off
We all know that MINI owners love their cake! So now each club has the chance to prove they are the best bakers in the MINI World! Each club must submit there best Cake to a panel of judges on the day will select the best bake!

Best MINI Club of The Day
Finally the ultimate MINI club award. This award will not just be based on the amount of cars, but the atmosphere on the stands, the effort each club goes too and their support in the competitions!

I will be selling Tickets on the Day, along with Stickers. However there is FREE Stickers with every ticket or merchandise purchase on the day at the show :)

The flags I think will be ok, they tuck under the car wheels anyway, would think the banner will be ok as well, but might depend on where we are in the grounds. I know at least one other group is taking a similar banner as our (not as nice obviously).

We had the flags up (same as MMM) last year but it's all concrete within the show ground so if the banners need to go into soft ground then it's a no. We did have the NMS banner on a wire fence last year but it was too far away from the cars IMO ..

Fantastic weekend had by us all, anybody who hasn't been to BMS yet, get it marked in the calendar for next year now!

For those that don't already know, NMS won Club of the Show :clap:

Christine took home the Cake of show, I can confirm it was indeed yum! Davy took home one of the Show and Shine awards (can't mind which one now). And of course not to forget Pete who picked up the biggest trophy of them all - well deserved all of them :)

What a day .. In fact what a weekend.
Firstly massive thanks to Tony and his family for another cracking show. Whilst only in it's second year this is for new MINIs the ultimate show. The time and effort that clearly goes into organising this event must be massive but Tony makes the whole day run so smoothly.
Secondly another thanks for everyone that made the trip to this. It was certainly worth every mile and I'd personally like to say a massive thank you to everyone that popped over to have a chat and keep me company whilst getting the wee buggy ready for the show n shine. I genuinely appreciated it and cheers again to the Harpers for hiding all the rubbish in the van during the judging :)
This show will clearly continue to go from strength to strength over the coming years and like Andrew said if you've never been you don't know what you're missing.
Looking forward to seeing the days "purchases" on the the respective cars ...
Totally shocked and stunned but felt totally honoured that I won and it was just the cherry on the top of another great weekend with good friends and MINIs.
Well done to NMS for taking the club of the day award and well deserved it was too. It just goes to show that the club is highly regarded and a huge round of applause should go to everyone involved in the club. Few folk notice the the wee things that get done in the back ground meaning the members can just enjoy the events. So to all involved in front and behind the scenes at NMS thank you for your commitment and effort in making this club what it is.

Well another cracking weekend from start to finish.
From me meeting Davy in the hotel car park to driving away from Penkridge Market yesterday afters went by in the blink of an eye, again.
Davy's car looked mint in the hotel car park and was a credit to him and his hard work.
The night slowly improved as more friends showed up at the hotel. The Cidré wasn't the best,but a drink is a drink at the end of the day.
At least the pub across the road was kind enough to have a few Bulmers in the fridges which brought my taste buds back to life before more Cidré was necked in the hotel.
A late journey to bed was followed by a few hours on t'internet looking at more bits that I can I'll afford.

The morning was a case of milling around watching the others clean their cars before the massive 3.7 mile driver down to the BMS site.
A bit of confusion on how to enter the site was quickly resolved and then we all started to get parked up on the huge GPUKOC/NMS pitch.
I parked up and then asked everyone if they had seen Davy.
No one knew where he'd gone and there were various reports of where he had gone but we then worked out that the S&S pitch would be having a visit from 0374.

A lot of "hellos" were exchanged and it was great to see a few new faces on the club stand.

A bit of a wipe down of Redward was very quickly followed by the announcement that the general public would be allowed in.

SHOWTIME !!

More chatting, asking what people they had been up to, what their plans for their respective cars were and if they had had a good journey down to the show was followed by a walk over to see Davy on the S&S stand.
0374 looked awesome and I really hoped that they would award him for his efforts.

Only time would tell.....

A walk back to the club stands and a chat with the NMS members, a check on Christine and Jessica to see if they were alright and a load more chatting before a quick walk around the traders.

Result, I didn't spend a single bean.
:)

Back across to see Davy, but he was nowhere in sight.
As I was looking at 0374 I heard a voice from behind me say "it's a shed" !!!
I quickly turned around expecting a bit of a verbal exchange and it was Davy.
He knows his car better than any of us so who am I to argue.
;)

A trip back across to the club stand was treated with the site of Paul, Alison, his Ma-in-Law and Rosie.
A good long chat ensued regarding how we all were but mainly the talk was about Greyhounds.
Rosie was a delight and a very friendly dog and a credit to how Paul and Alison have treat her since adopting her.
It was great to see Sam as well and I'm glad to hear that you are doing well and honestly do not think that I'll have to wait too long to get my Team Red member back onto the stand at shows.

A bit more wandering was followed by me bumping into Wim and having a chat with him about Blue Lobster.
297,000 kms, three engines and 5 gear boxes !!!
That boy knows how to treat a MINI.
:)
All too soon the awards were starting to be announced.
A quiet word from Davy about the GP Mick Award was quickly followed by me frantically handing out bits of paper for everyone to fill in.

A big congratulations to Christine for winning the Bake Off.
The thought of a ginger cake made by a Scottish woman made me laugh.
Must be my childish sense of humour.
;)

We traipsed across to the stage and waited for the S&S awards.

.....and the winner of the best Gen 1 goes to......

Davy Stout !!!

Get in there.

A well and truly deserved award for a stunning GP.

The award was great recognition for all of those B&Q buckets that have been abandoned at various shows after they have braved the intensity that is Davy's cleaning regime.

You did not get binned in vain.

The award for club of the day went to New MIni Scotland.

Yet another highly deserved award for the time, effort and mileage you put in to attend the shows and was rightly awarded to you guys.

The GP Mick Award was gratefully received and is about the only time that I really struggle to say anything to anyone immediately afterwards.

Thank you to all for that it really means a lot to me.

well another show over and I think last of the season ,its been a busy old year for NMS, we have had a successful pairing with GPOCUK, many a pint has been sunk and the amount of pi$$ taking has had many doubled up in tears. goodness knows how many miles we have covered but I can say this from the heart , I have never enjoyed my self so much and think that everyone else involved feels the same ,if it was not for people giving up weekends/time and other things that they would normally do ...none of this would be possible or indeed work or be so much fun ,great friends have been made and in such a short time that you would think we had know them for years ( a true sign of friendship)
we have already had an invite for next year so we all must be doing something right ( or everyone down south loves us clocking up miles :hand: ),the big MINI show turned out great for NMS and GPOCUK and well done to Davie ( NMS/GPOCUK) Pete ( GPUKOC/NMS) I never had the pleasure of meeting GP Mick but I am sure he feels that his love of
GPOCUK is being carried on by Pete and the membership of GPOCUK . special mention of the day must go to Mrs Stone for her lovely ginger cake .So here is to next year if you have not done a show or run or meet think about it and come along ,all are welcome and it does not matter one bit if you know about cars or not you are all welcome ..you might get the pee taken a little bit ,but you will make new friends that will last and will as we all have ,end up with great memorys that will last forever :yes nod:. so to end before the pics of the show ...thank you very much for all your time effort and hard work at making this so special.Oh and well done to everyone for NMS winning best club stand :cool:

Where do I start..... A huge thank you to everyone that made the journey down to The Big MINI Show and to Stoney for taking the time to organise for NMS to attend, this weekend would have been nothing without your inputs. Also a huge thank you and well done to Tony and family for their time in putting the show together a huge pat on the back is due to you guys.

This is was our first time to BMS and what a cracking show, it was purely dedicated to our NEW MINI's, with traders for our cars rather than piggybacking onto a classic show..... What more could we want.

NMS won 3 awards at the show which I think is a huge achievement, I don't think any other club came close. Christine's cake was stunning, Davys GP was just jaw dropping and we WON best Club Stand, a huge well done to everyone and it was well deserved. I can honestly say from the bottom of my heart that I am very proud of what we as NMS have achieved over the past year moving the club to standing out and being recognised for being the best and showing the rest of the MINI world what we have to offer and boy do we have a lot to offer. With this handful of stunning MINIs imagine what we could do if we had even more of some of the stunning cars we have on our site, it's unthinkable!!!

I was touched that we stood out and won our award yesterday and again proud that I could go up and receive our trophy for everyone on NMS for being the best.

Pete was also recognised for his contributions to the GPUKOC, and I can't think of anyone else it should have went to. Pete is one of the most dedicated members to any car club I have came across. I never had the pleasure of meeting Mick but I bet he will be proud of what Pete is doing for the GPUKOC. A true gent and an inspiration to all, someone I'm pleased to call a friend.

I really missed not going this year guys and girls. I gt the chance of a lifetime and couldn't turn it down. Still didn't feel right not leaving on Sat with Davy for the drive south. So glad you all had a great weekend without the wasp whisperer and very proud of all our prize winners. Well Done to Christine, Davy and ALL who contributed to the 3 prizes. I just knew the GP would be spotless mate :)

I can't say anything that's not been said already!

This was my first ever year I've had a car on a stand at a show, I wasn't sure what to expect. I have attended SCS, MITP and BMS. Unfortunately I couldn't attend MMM.

Well done to Christine, Davy and Pete! 3 very well deserved awards.
I don't know about anyone else but I felt great that my friends were winning awards and when Tony announced NMS won club of the show I was ecstatic! It was very well deserved!

Like Eddie this is my first year having a car on any sort of stand and it was a blast every time, can't wait for next year already.

Was a great feeling albeit a little nervous waiting on the awards being announced and to get 3 winners was fantastic.

Bring on 2015, let's make it bigger and better

Just to comment how people felt when our friends were winning awards. 2bh i was filling up. Had tears of joy for Pete, Davy and our club. And ginger for his wife's effort on the best ginger cake I've had.

Thank you all for all your kind words it meant a lot to take a trophy home yesterday not just for me but for the clubs. Like a number of us have said before it's sometimes the people that make the shows not the cars. Anyway it certainly was another great weekend and once again congratulations to the club for it's award, Pete for retaining the Mick Walsh trophy and of course Christine for her victory in the bake off. The ginger cake was truly amazing and I know my cake !!
May I echo the sentiments of others on here .. I'll make no bones about it I've been going to / involved on club stands for years but hand on heart this year has been one of the best "club" years ever. I've never enjoyed the miles, laughs and beers so much. The dedication shown by everyone who's attended a show this year has been second to none and it hasn't shown that some folk are new to the show scene. I've never travelled so many miles in convoy ever it's been great and everyone's commitment has not gone unnoticed.
Sorry the big fella had to miss this one and I know how much he wanted his car to make another show appearance but it was there in mind if not physically.
Hats off to all the NMS members who have travelled, baked, carried tea/coffee/biscuits, fixed bits, etc over the year you've made it so enjoyable and so worthwhile.
Again a big thank you to the "Harpers" who as always have ploughed their heart and soul into everything NMS and are prepared to sit and listen to comments and ideas in an effort to carry the forward. It would be great to have a stand of 20 cars at one show next year .. let's try !
You can't buy awards you win them so well done one and all.
Thank you all so much again for your support and comments and like others have said I'm honoured to have some great friends.
Please, please, please if you've never been to a show try it ..

I've posted up a few of my thoughts previously, a copy of my post on GPUKOC to be honest, but I felt the need to post a few original comments on NMS.
I don't post much on NMS but I'm slowly posting more as I get to know more of you and get to know more about you all.
Despite my appearance and sarcasm I'm normally not too good at meeting new people but each and every one one of you has made me instantly feel like a friend when I have met you.
Your various comments in your above posts have put a tear or two in my eye but I just do what I do, and am who I am, some days I'm even a teapot.
:)
I think the word family is a very apt description of how I feel about the members that I have already met, although some of you are still lucky enough not to have met me yet.
;)
I will definitely partake in a trip to God's Country at some point next year and meet up with you all.
The trophies are nice but the friendships that I have made with some of you are worth mote than any trophy.

To all in NMS you are a great club and a genuinely awesome group of people.

Here's to more NMS/GPUKOC club stands in 2015.
