Ok, so I've got this Cooper S and absolutely loving it, but as with all my cars I tend to go a bit mad and buy a load of stuff when I get it. Useful things I've bought so far include :
Rubber mats (from Craig)
Arm rest (from Craig)
Storage Cup (eBay link (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/370584228509?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649))
Sport Aerial (eBay link (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171096345869?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649))
16" MINI Blaster alloys + Dunlop Winter Sport 4D tyres
16Gb USB stick loaded with iTunes music
Things on the "possibly buy at some point list" :
Chrome scoop (not a stick on)
stripes (likely a thick solid band flanked by narrower stripes)
rear window blinds (I don't have factory tints :()
One thing I would like to locate is a good iPhone holder .......
What other "must haves" have I missed for MINI Max (yes, the wife named it Max!)?

Got the metal Mini tax disc holder, simple twist and the back comes of to change the tax. It's a nice touch I always think. Got the no screws iPhone holder and does the trick and looks nice enough from newministuff.
Silver main beam bulbs for looks and better light -Done
Indicator bulbs silver - Done
Off the Run flats - Done
Front chrome grille swapped to black honeycomb one. (Still love I got that done) freshened up the car after a few years of ownership.
Sports aerial -Done
Aero wiper blades -Done
NEWMINISCOTLAND sticker x2
And I'm one for never changing anything but the Mini just asks to have that wee individual touch. Enjoy turning the car into your own.

If you're on 17's and above - Ditching the Run-Flats! I realise that this is more of a "Must NOT Have" BTW I found 16" R/F's fine on my R53.
Next would be decent SEATS - which make you feel so much more 'connected' to the car, and let you exploit the handling without having to hang on to the wheel to keep your bum in place!
After that, a nice Exhaust/Manifold/Downpipe as this can really bring out the "Character" in your MINI for a relatlvely reasonable cost :thumbs up: and most of the time an Exhaust won't bang up your Insurance.
I've done all of R56 mods in installments since March 2009, and while some have more 'impact' than others I haven't regretted any of them, so you can take your pick - everybody's different - whatever takes your fancy :yes nod:
ps It almost goes without saying that if you want to increase your MINI enjoyment, the good folks on NMS are probably the best (and cheapest) mods you'll ever make!

Ok, so I took stoney's advice and filled up with petrol ..... car still drives the same but my wallet feels a bit lighter. Car also feels a bit heavier, but I'll give it a few miles and see if that improves ;)
Tax disc holder - good point. Need to ditch the dealer's orange holder as it does look a tad out of place. Where do you source a screw back one from? In the past I've had alu ones with the back held on with small grommit screws, but once a year that was just a pain!!
Side scuttles .... is that the side plates on the door sills? Depsite only being a few months old mine are looking a bit corroded/damaged, so I'll either see if they can be replaced under warranty, or treat the car to illumainated ones (though at over a £100 I probably won't bother).
Car came with non runflats and a can of gunk in the boot (which I didn't realise could go out of date!!). I've ALWAYS run with a spare so feel a little uncomfortable without it, but I guess that's what the RAC and MINI Emergency cover is for.
Channel swap - bass seems great as it is so not sure I need it. Also use the bluetooth every day so would rather not degrade that experience.
Performance mods are off the cards for now. I'll maybe consider a decent CAI kit at some point, but not for at least a year. Car is quick enough for me at the moment so will stick to adding tat and weight to it for now ;)
Stickers : I like some of the proposals for the redesign so will wait until that's been done before pleding my allegience :D
Thanks all for the suggestions so far!!

Warranty - a dealer has to prove that your mods have caused the claim. There's no way a CAI and zorst will throw a rod, for example

What Mon says. Only thing you might have to look out for if you go for a Manifold (R53) / Downpipe (R56) is that it might throw up an Emissions Warning (EML) from time to time which you'll have to get reset.
Or you can just stick a wee Jimi Hendrix badge over it as I did on my last car... :thumbs up:

Indeed - and I'm "watching" a couple of them :-)

Same tax disc as Ali has said, has the look of the screws but is a simple twist.

The car didn't come with privacy glass and I quite fancy blinds instead. Anyone know if the following are missing clips off the side shades ?
