Has anyone fitted one of these to their pre-face lift and does the facelift have less failures of the power steering pump that could be attributed to the extra cooling this part provides?

I think a lot of the failures are down to the fan underneath being blocked by debris, thus resulting in overheating. I think there are less failures on facelift cars.

Missus had an pre-facelift R50, steering went when it was 3 years old and 40k miles. My facelift is 8.5 years old with 75k, no issues with steering. Maybe not scientific, but I'm sure the facelifts are less likely to suffer a failure.

Worth a try I would say
