Spare Wheel

We are going on a wee trip to France and we are taking The Van. Need space to take tools etc as we are helping our Birmingham friends who are building a house in Brittany.
Couple of questions:-
As the Van doesn't have run-flats, I would like to take a spare wheel. I think I could fit a 16" wheel in the bottom of the Van boot. Could I run for a short distance with 3 X 17" wheels and one 16" wheel (on the rear)?
Does anyone have a 16" wheel for sale, or one that I could borrow for 2 weeks? Don't want to rely on the Gunk stuff, if I get a flat. Any help / advice appreciated.

Since the rolling diameter is virtually the same there should not be a problem using a different wheel.

I would drive nice and easy though.

Malcolm. I can give you a 15" ateel wheel with a winter on it but that doesn't matter as its just to get you to the next stop.
