Anone fitted a JCW strut brace to an R56?

If so:
1) Is it a DIY job &
2) Is it a worthwhile mod?

It's not as good a strut brace as others, it flexes too much. All it braces is your credit card. It's under bonnet bling

How about the M7 one. Cheaper but is it better? Even the same would be good.

M7 stuff is normally decent. Find out what the R56 Challenge cars use, as on the R53 the JCM brace is far better than the JCW
