Always on the lookout for interesting R56 mods!

The thing I like about this is the direct cold air feed from the (de-grilled) bonnet scoop. Only one problem though - as William pointed out to me - it won't fit with your JCW etc Strutbrace, but apparently AEM are working on their own 'brace to sort this. It looks like a well-thought-out piece of kit.

It's £299.00 from LOHEN, and if your car doesn't have a 'MAF' sensor - I think this means earlier pre-2010 R56? - you'll need one at £23.00.

It looks a lovely bit of kit and it gets quite a good write up. But I wouldn't loose my strutbrace for it. I would prefer to keep my Alta with degrilled scoop. I run colder temps with the Alta then the standard airbox

Found a pic of the AEM strutbrace. Looks horrendous IMHO

The 'brace does look a bit pants William, but I suppose if it works... or I could look at your Alta again... or just keep my JCW 'Box and ITG... Hmmmmmm :idunno: :argh:
Heatshield would be handy though!

I doubt it will be on the car for the 3rd as it needs cleaned. This is all under the understanding that I won't get my finger out and get it done. But does your ITG warrent changing for something else .... prob not

William - you've got this the wrong way round - I'M supposed to be the sensible one and you're supposed to be the daft Boy Racer!
The JCW Airbox and ITG Filter are prob a good compromise, but you know what it's like, you see something and think.... "Hmmmmmmm, wonder how well that would work...?"

Has anyone done any testing with this back-to-back? Looks a promising bit of kit
