Z-flip head units

Please tell me a z-flip unit can be fitted in the Mini?


I have a £600 Kenwood unit from my last car been sitting under a desk since I got the Cooper last May.
I've just received the new fascia to fit a new radio to the car.............now I've just had a thought.......about the Mini's big speedo!

You can fit aftermarket audio to the R56, but, you have to relocate the head unit.
Stoney, i think, is mentioning the R53, which when installing a flip up screen did cover the fuel gauge

ThanksErm well, you can't, not without serious and major work. The integrated stereo is one of my pet hates of the Second Gen mini, contact mikeythemini who may be able to give you some pointers. Am sure i've seen one of his creations where he relocated the heater controls etc

Was aiming to do it today but 'snowed off' and now just figured out the speedo is for some unknown reason attached to the cd player!!


More hours required than what we thought
