First proper run was the Cullen Run, it had 60 odd MINIs. I did go to Abroath before that.

I’m guessing it was 2005, could have been 2004.

My first run was the Festive Run in Dec 2003 run by Willie and Linda Moffat ;)

Been on and organised too many runs since to remember them all :thud:

Ummmm....

My first Run was the Cullen Run in 2003 I think.. the one where we all stopped at Aviemore at the end?
First run with my brand new Cooper!:motoring::whoohoo:

Don;t think I was on any before that... if I was, then it was in the car as a passenger with Zimbo cos he got his a wee bit before me

The overnights were Grantown on Spey on my first, the next was Aviemore (again).

There was one that visited Mackie’s and one were there was a load of Southerners with Lambrini exhausts, we stopped at the Glenfiddich distillery on that one (they could be the same run).

I remember Nenah sorting out the accommodation in Aviemore.

My first run was in 2004 I think, it was called Hadrians Wall run. Funnily enough it was to Hadrians wall and it was joint attended by the mini clan I think. This was back in the day when 60 odd new Minis would go on a run and folk walking in the towns would stop and wave and point.
I think those days are gone now.

 Mine MIGHT have been the overnight trip to Skye (in my Magnex-exhausted COOPER)... probably, but the old memory's flatter than a skelped remould these days! :idunno: Was that 2003?

My first run was in November 2002 organised by Callum himself, we started at Stirling Services, pretty sure it was organised on Mini2 and this actually spawned NMS the following year

Many of the runs are here (http://www.newminiscotland.co.uk/Gallery_Archive.html)

Stoneys picnic Run 2008 I think it was, That first Highland Tour was the week after and I thought best to meet a few poeple and see what these runs are like...Got on to that road just outside Strathaven and thought :wtf: and that was them taking it easy.... Memories of missing that there was a Humpback bridge in the wet and then looking and thinking Williams Mum and Dad behind must have been pissing themselves.

Before we even got to that part of the road when we all left Chatelherault Country Park there was a terrible noise every time I set off from lights, thought great first run and there is an engine fault. Every time it seemed I put down the power there was a racket. Five minutes later I discovered it was just Rob and his rear four Exhausts. ;)

Every run has been an adventure, always loved seeing peoples enthusiasm for their cars and loved my first look inside a Works on that run. Plus Mrs Stonny dont half do some nice cake!

I found it up for sale on Autotrader yesterday. Here’s the link. (http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201212234716764/sort/default/usedcars/model/forfour/make/smart/onesearchad/used/onesearchad/nearlynew/onesearchad/new/keywords/brabus/radius/1500/page/1/postcode/dh70el?logcode=p)

I had to dig out some old pics to be sure it was ours. They’re pretty rare, I only ever saw three on the road during the time we owned it (18 months). It was basically a Brabus tuned Mitsu Colt Turbo.

I remember having a laugh chasing them down, that was before I got lazy with an S. I had a look at an R50 Cooper today. Tempted!

It was an awesome run that year as I knew more people, the first one was a bit awkward.

First runs can be awkward, 'shy' me did'nt get talking with anyone until the bold Angus opened his gob. I miss Angus

As for 'chasing them down' ......... Oh the memories :thumbs up:
Remember that evening in Aviemore & one of the southerners asking me what the hell I'd done to tune my Coop.
The look on his face when I said 'nowt mate' was brilliant.

Thats also the first time I heard the immortal words from John Barrie that 'it's best driven in a Cooper on the limits' ............ John

All I remember from that Skye run was a very loud rock band in a pub and a hangover that was so bad, Mom had to drive the next day!!
Still trying to work out what our first run with NMS was and whether it was in the Red/White Cooper, or whether it was in the Blue/White Cooper S. Both cars had white S spokes. Can anyone else remember? Might have been the Fife Cruise in May 2003?
We did do the Stafford indoor show in Jan 2003 and we did the Heartbeat run in Yorkshire, but both of these were with Mini2.
Brain isn't what it used to be......doh!!
