Evening all,

any help would be appreciated, here is the situation.

I left dundee today and i topped up my engine coolant, by the time i had got back to st andrews my radiator was starting to overheat and the coolant level had evaporated to nothing. Having browsed the net the last hour i am thinking that it may be a thermostat issue but i wanted to ask everyone to see if it could be potentially something else.

Thanks :thumbs up:

Shaun

The expansion tank can split around the middle causing Coolant to leak which would then cause overheating issues. The coolant tank is right At the back of the engine bay next to the power steering reservoir ;)

If not that, then the thermostat is prob the answer...

Is your car pre-facelift?

Where is cheapest for a new expansion tank?
Eurocarparts want £80.

Might consider just upgrading so i dont have to replace again as it seems a common weak point.
Can anyone recomend one?
