Hi folks,
On the 9th of September I am cycling 176 kilometres (110 miles in old money) through the Scottish Borders to raise money for IIH UK. My sister is an Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH) sufferer. The condition causes pressure to build up in the base of the skull forcing excessive pressure on the brain. This causes loss of sight and constant headaches. In order to stem the pressure my sister underwent over 15 lumbar punctures in 2011 and eventually at Christmas required surgery to fit a shunt that drains fluid from her brain into her stomach.
We have set a target of £500 and at the moment we are still a little short. If we can get it up to £500, my work (Bibby Offshore) will match it!!! Any donations we receive will certainly make our suffering on the 9th worthwhile and truly help some people who are suffering daily with IIH. http://www.justgiving.com/dave-neil-shepherd
Please only donate if you have spare cash and please don’t feel obligated to do so.
Thanks for your time
