Good morning,
I have just bought a 2010 Mini Cooper S and l am now going to start looking for some 16" alloys to use in the winter.
These alloys are advertised as Daytona 16" and are from a 2003 Cooper, could someone tell me if they will fit my car.

Thank you

been having a look on the net and l can get a set of brand new 16" steel wheels for £182 so might give the company a call
Also mytyres do a set of Nokian winter tyres for around £280.

Nokian tyres are tremendous. Used them over 2 really back winters and never got stuck ;)

Not sure if they would clear R56S brakes, I would guess not

I have to agree with Mon, I think they will fit an R53 S but not an R56 S.

Thanks for the replies. These steelies would be good and it says on info that they are suitable
for all models except JCW and JCW brakes

Remember that an R56 S has the "upgraded" brakes as standard

It's the rubbishy offset on OEM wheels rather than the size you need to watch

What makes an offset rubbishy?

From looking at this http://www.mini2.com/forum/faq.php?faq=faq_wheels_tyres#faq_wheel_fitments it appears that the 5 star 16" wheels will not fit an r56.

To close to the mounting face of the wheel makes them rubbishy Ken

High offsets mean alloys can't fit over the brakes - for example, the JCW R95's are 18", but because they have an offset of ET52, they won't fit over the R56 JCW brakes without spacers. It's not the size of the wheels that's the issue, it's the offset - the spokes foul the callipers.
13mm spacers on an ET52 wheel give an ET39. Most OEM Mini wheels have high offsets, which also reduces track width
