Cool

Will need to keep an eye out for it when Im on a site survey, although if they only do 1200 miles a year then it will be a rare spot. Easy number plate to remember mind you.

At least its not an S or a Works, I’d be saying what a waste not driving it…£41k ouch but then his roller has lasted him the last twenty years.:thumbs up:

£41K? A fool and his money..... :frown: Recession? What Recession? Here's a message from the chap if your job's under threat or you can't afford a holiday this year :moonie: :smug:

If he was so desperate to spend, he should have bought her a nice Cooper and donated the rest to charity. Not impressed. Yes, I know, 'Grumpy B******', but there's a lot to be grumpy about these days.

I also agree, I understand it's hard times but I don't think him buying a nice base model was ever an option, I can't imagine me buying anything other than the mini I wanted (within reason) I think very few people are angelic enough to sacrifice why they want and give the difference to charity unless it's for tax relief purposes!

I have no issue with people having money etc etc, far too many tree-hugging left wing champagne socialists about these days IMO, but that's a different story...

What does strike me as daft is spending over £40k on a car that plainly isn't built to that price - we all know of the various build quality issues of Mini's, and to charge £41k for some more dead cow and sheep on the inside, whilst leaving the basic engineering unchanged says more for the PR department than anything else.

And that money>sense

:off topic:
Busy at work, but had to spend the WHOLE day yesterday (and this morning) sorting out (and getting assistance to help me) for our Email system which had packed in days before - unknown to us, tho we thought it was quiet on that front! Lots of groups trying to contact me to get work done and getting no replies - backup of jobs now! Vital part of operation, hence foul mood. Now just busy and knackered! ..... and still slightly grumpy.

Money/Grumps aside, I just think what you can get for £40K... and I'm afraid it doesn't have a MINI badge. LOVE MINI, but not THAT much! Still, each to their own... :idunno:
However, if I DID spend £40K on a MINI, it'd be able to chase down £80K sport cars for fun!!!!!!

Back to work! :hand:

You've got to put yourselves int heir shoes, for example, do you think that they have monetary concerns
Add into that, i dou't the woman would be interested in driving a 911 or similar car of around the same value.

Agreed it's an expensive car, but not to them, ticks all their requirements :thumbs up:
