Really? How did you get away with that?! Nor have I, am working on a boat-and just getting ready for my first ever chopper crew change, pretty much unheard of for this vessel- talk about being thrown in at the deep end! :)

I thought you were on a semi submersible
When i worked in Baku they used catamaran type vessels for crew changes, up to 100 passengers for a 2 hour journey.

Mostly crew changed via helicopter, must have flown thousands of flights, maybe got more flying time than some pilots

Will be intersting to see the chopper landing on your boat, hope the swell is low :Whsitle:

No inuendo type jokes please (ELFMAN)

A highly complex procedure!
Haha, puns ahoy...

I sincerely hope the swell stays down too, cause being the nice and conscientious kinda person I am, I chose to see the crew change through and leave in the last chopper...i can see this coming back to bite me in the ass, and one will not be a happy pup if I get stuck on here for another 2 weeks!

You're an old hand then with all this chopper travel, I'm a new baby to this industry, it's been an eye opener that's for sure!

Ta daaa! Choppers done and am at long last at home in my own bed after a chopper, 3 planes and an almost 4 hour drive. A-mazing :)

Nice one, nothing beats the excitement of crew change day.
My journey home starts on Tuesday and will be car, 4 flights including a 15 hour flight from Dubai to Atlanta and finally the 25 minute car ride home :thumbs up:

Woow that's a long way!! Must cut into your time off too when it takes so long to get anywhere. I couldn't really get excited about coming home til I had made sure everyone else made it home before me, but hearing the chopper arriving finally was the best thing ever :) still a rookie, but learning quick!
