After selling my R53 JCW last year, I've found I've missed it ever since so just bought my wife a 2004 Astro Black R53 as her run around that hopefully I can steal occasionally!
She's only just bought it and already wants some chrome mirror caps. I thought it was only blokes into modding (sexist I know, sorry) I'll pop that in the wanted section in a second.

It was great driving it today, high miles but drove just like my 20k R53!

Proper maintenance is much more important John when it comes to minis ;)

After the R53 fell through, we found this 2004 R50 with one keeper and only 40k locally! Wife loves it, I just wish it was quicker!

Nice John ;). A play mini exhaust and an induction kit will make it sound better and go a bit better :yes nod:

I like really like Playmini exhausts, but I doubt I'd get away with putting something noisy on it :-(

It's not noisy - it has "character" ;)

I'd echo what Craig says, the Play MINI on the R50 adds a subtle depth and rasp to the exhaust tone. The R53 "S" Play MINI was ASBO territory but the R50 is nothing like as noisy.
Go for it, you'd love it.:thumbs up:

Thanks guys, the heat shield on the current system us a bit rusty, I could get away with saying it's the exhaust and will fail it's MOT next time if I don't change it!
