Perthshire Run - Sunday 20th May

I can do a Perthshire Run this year on Sunday 20th May
Route same as last year - last years thread (http://www.newminiscotland.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?21745-Perthshire-Run-Sunday-3rd-July)

Start is at Broxden Services, Perth, PH2 0PX - the car park at the end of the road not the petrol station or park & ride
Gather at 10:30 for departure by 11am
End will be at Dundee in the CineWorld cinema car park, near Camperdown park. Just of the main A90 dual carriageway

The route is via Glen Devon / Gleneagles to Crieff for Lunch at the Drovers restaurant at the Crieff visitors center, then via Kenmore, Tummel Bridge, Pitlochry, Blairgowrie and to Dundee via Meigle

Put me down Duncan, its a lovely route and enjoyed it last year on what must have been one of the best weather days of the year. Even if the out of date SatNav(Katie) took a hissy fit going to Cineworld it was worth it to go past that garden with the fake cows ;)

Date is 20th May and I will leave it as that at present.
Andy is looking for interest in the factory tours, not a confirmed run yet, so best leave this date alone just now.

If factory tours don't go ahead I will leave it as 20th

If the factory tours run is confirmed, then I am still willing to do this on 20th May but will post on this thread then see if people would prefer we did it on a different date - I'm happy to do it any time I'm free and folk want to come on it

I dont see why the date has to change due to the factory tour, its a week and a half before this date. Duncan if you do decide to change the date can I request it be for either a week later (ie the 27th) or the 3rd or 4th Sunday in June. Would love to be home for this one.

Duncan, the Prodrive/MINI tour is very likely. The Prodrive bit is booked already. I'm just waiting on MINI opening up the bookings for the Friday 11th morning, but I've already emailed a request that when that date becomes available it's immediately set aside for us.

As soon as I know for definite that it's booked, I'll give you a shout.

That said, I'm not convinced you should feel you should move your run. Up to you, of course.

I am totally OK to do the run on this date. If I did move it it would be after June.

As I and others are happy to stick with the date I think I will just leave it as 20th May

Many thanks to Duncan and Helen for a most enjoyable day on some lovely roads.

Good to have a wee get-together, the weather couldn't have been better :cool: and the scenery was FAB! As a passenger this time I actually got to see some of the countryside while my driver kept us on the black stuff and out of the weeds. Nice lunch in Crieff as usual. Great fun to be in Stoney's GP and a reminder that it's a special wee motor and, although I love my R56, of why I still miss my noisy JCW 210!

Took quite a few pics with Stoney's camera, most of which will be totally blurry, so he'll post the two useable ones when he gets the time!
