I've been thinking about new seats for a while.

Today I placed my order. Sparco Milano Seats. :cool:

Shold get them mid September once they have been retrimmed.

After the seats my Mini is getting a new paint close to orginal colour but with the big metal flakes.:I

So did I. The works seats are made by Sparco (so I'm told).

These seats are almost the same except them have the memory foam, gel sides.

What size of wheel do you run? must be 18" +!?!? Did you need any other mods to get the wheels to fit?

Well at the moment I am running on 17x9's. I used to have 19's but the chrome wheels were crap.

I was changed from a 4 to 5 stud but I don't think you need to do that to get 19's to fit.

Somebody is selling the works seats on mini2 at the moment for £800.00

Mini2 members did manage a group buy on JCW Seats not long ago. They ended up getting them from CoolNew (not your favourite company Fiona I know). They got about a 7.5% discount for 10 sets.

John Cooper do have the all black leather in stock for £1100 + fitting but they will not send them out to you. YOu can get them through a dealer which takes 6-8 weeks or you can go all the way down to Brighton and get them fitted by John Cooper.

I got in touch with a Italian Company last week before they shut down for the summer and they are sending the seats direct to Zeemax for them to be retrimmed.

What about the airbags in the seats?

You lose the side airbags - you have to sign a release form for your dealer before he disables them from the system to stop you suing him when they dont discharge. Apparently they wont do it all in the US
