Hi, new kid here! looking for vinyls...

Hi, i'm new to nms so not great at getting about, so... a black MCS appeared outside my shop in Ullapool the other day, with carbon fibre looking bonnet stripes. looked mint on the black car but i'd like them on mine. Are they proper mini vinyls or just a diy job? either way they looked mint, i'd have stopped the driver if i'd found them!!
Also...how do you make a photo your profile pic?!

if you go to settings up at the top right corner and then to the left hand side there's a 'edit profile picture' option. :thumbs up: head on over to 'introduce yourself' thread and everyone will pile in and say hi to you too! :yes nod:

I saw this too on a red JCW in Stirling. I’m pretty sure MINI doesn’t offer it as a service but when I got viper stripes on my first MINI which was used, The garage sent it out to be done externally. So if there are any graphic companies or anything of that kind around I’m sure they could offer a service. You can also buy Carbon fibre vinyl from http://signmyrideuk.co.uk/index.htm if you would like to attempt it yourself ! :thumbs up:

welcome yep as Bry has said any good car Graphic place will be able to do it for you all i will say is you want a good quality or will look cheap if your going for the carbon look :)

We have invaded Ullapool the last three years on the Highland Tour run, we stayed in Ullapool the first two years with only passing through last year on the 15th May. So if you ever seen a troop of Mini’s it was probably us…..Got to say, love it up there.

Oh hell no I won't be attempting it myself!! It'll be a pro job, I know my limits :) aww yeah that's familiar alright, most expensive fuel in the world... I'll check out the vinyls, don't want it looking cheap, maybe it looked better on black than it would white.

as long as you get a good quality one you should be fine you can allways take it off if you dont like it :) its only a sticker after all :thumbs up:

Seen pics on the mini2 site (nowhere near as helpful or friendly obviously) of a guy in Norway or somewhere who did the carbon taping on his roof, A panels and stripes down the bonnet, love it. Maybe a bit much, but I think the bonnet stripes and perhaps the A Panels...maybe?!
