does any one know where i could pick up one of the genuine mini sat nav systems that clips on to your rev counter and is hard wired in? http://www.mini.co.uk/services/accessories/mininavigationoffer?s3promobox=navigation
that is the link for it on the mini uk web site.
i allready have a tomtom and allways get peeved off with it falling off the middle speedo or it being to far away on the window so this is a fix for that problem.

Never had a problem with the Tom Tom other than an older map not finding a road on the Perthshire pleasure this year. I'd not think putting on the Middle speedo would be a good option as I think it would mark it to easy and is too fragile always just put it on the screen right of the wheel.

But then what do I know I only just realised the wipers stop from fully on to intermittent when I pull up at lights….I’m sure it came back from that inspection with it last week as it never did it before.

A right got you now, I thought you wanted your Tom Tom all neat in the car but this looks good as well. After doing a few road trips with the Mini crowd I've got used to the TomTom and the tyre program to plot your route and not the best or quickest.....

If mini could add what the V monitor can do then it would sell like hot cakes ;)

Just booked my coupe in to have the Mini sat nav fitted to the rev counter at the BMW garage. I love the way it can flip to either side :)

Jase,

Let us know how you get on with having the MINI sat nav fitted...tempted by one myself. If you don't mind how much are the garage charging for a supply and fit?

Cheers
Andrew

I take it this is a different system to the "factory fitted" Sat Nav? We have the latter and it takes some getting used to. A Tom tom is much more user friendly. It doesn't take a full UK post code, but saying that, it did work well in Europe.
