Milder winter this year compared to last, or so reckon the weather website that I trust.

Personally I think its anyone’s guess. Cold snap, warmer then average till November according to this.

I’m keeping my winters off the car till November I think.

www.theweatheroutlook.com

Not the front page more the weather discussion forums. The graph (above) are the sort of stuff I use to get a longer term view of what the weather is doing.

That's not restricted to Collies.... Maltese Terrier's hate them too. Tili was growing all last winter so a couple of days ago I tried the last coat we bought for him to see if it would still fit. He just looked at me with a... "No. No! Sorry but No F*****G WAY!" look on his face.

Have to say after last year I've got myself a proper good snow shovel for the drive I recon it will do the job in half the time and half the effort to that of last year using a blooming normal small handled shovel.

Interesting in the shop when buying it, when I found them there was thirty or so and by the time I had picked my one up and was standing making a call they had all gone like a flash. In fact a women asked if in fact I was buying it with her hand on my one as it was just resting on me as I was on a call and I felt I had to actually take hold of it and say “ Yes I’m buying it”

After she left and I had got back to my call, another guy and his wife came with the wife standing back as he came and stood next to me looking at my Shovel. In the end I said bye on the call and moved away with him shrugging to his wife. ( fecking rude if you ask me)

Shocking how people get.

I’ve still to get a few bags of the rock Salt that saved me last year getting the car back up the drive on Xmas day etc.

The Lodges in snow sounds great fun all the same:thumbs up: Always wanted to pack up and take a weeks food in a 4X4 around Xmas and just say " Weather do your worst I'm no moving" and sit back and enjoy:smilewinkgrin:

I know the Wifi is not the strongest but no pics... ;)

I really want a driveway ...and a garage  Mind you I spent two weeks solid at mum's wishing she didn't have a driveway to clear!

People are SO RUDE these days! It just wasn't like that when I was wee - manners are a lost art and so many folk are out to profit from anyone else.

I've been telling my Mum to get rocksalt and grit in advance of the panic for weeks. Did she listen?:hand: She'll be fighting with the others in B&Q on pensioners day to get some:frown: Last year there were chancers driving round her road trying to flog it to the unprepared for an elevated price. She was well chuffed she could tell them to sod off as she already had some. :D She said the woman looked really taken aback when she said she didn't need it and wasn't going to buy any. Get it bought Stewart!

I had no real problems, just it fluttered in and out right on the very comfy seat that I had got used to the looked out to the Canal. But that could just have been “Iona” lodge. I was happy enough that I had a strong phone signal to make calls considering your in a Glen low down away from Fortwilliam .

The question really should have been, with views like that and decent weather what the feck was I doing with my head in a phone when I was there and not touring about…

Enjoy your week….look forward to the pic’s

yeh man plenty snow on the tops and the temp has droped big time. where is your lodge? spean area? i cant beleve you never took your mini/punto. i went to avimore last weekend to go to landmark its a special road at this time of year there is no one on it and you can realy get going at it.
i got to try out my new piaa lights on saterday night we dicided to take a drive to inverness at 8pm to catch a film abducted realy good film so the light are magic the only problem i have is that they are so bright they drown out the full beam of cars comeing the other way so you dont see them till they are in full view. im prety sure they see me though.

The lodge is up the B road from Banavie to Gairlochy, just about half mile short of Gairlochy ;)

Great the lights worked well :thumbs up: a stag nearly killed my car last night !! Missed it by inches, it was huge and would have made a huge mess of my car :yes nod:
