so said a dealer to me today at an auction. "I'm going to buy that silver 06 plate (28k) Cooper, won't be worth more than 4 grand on a good day"

Sold to the trade for £5250 plus indemnity :moonie:

You need to read the thread title then go straight into the text.

Minis are not as strong as they were say 8 years ago but they still hold very well compared to almost everything else.

P.s what auction house do you frequent. Do you deal or buy for a group?
I go to Livingstone quite regularly as a friend of mine is a mechanic and likes to buy things to tidy and sell on. I clean them up for him. I will buy things as well if I think they are a bargain and will be easy to move on. Came home with 2 Corsas last week. Normally cant get anywhere near a good Corsa as folk go mental over them.

I'm just wandering round the sales aimlessly atm, Ian looking for something newish for my dad (a 10 plate Corsa or new shape Astra in a good spec with low miles if you see anything) or something nice for myself. Usually I just go to BCA/Manheim and now and again CCA.

It's quite funny, years ago when I used to trade full-time my partner in crime was called Ian.....Ian King
