Just received an Email from Peter Vardy Mini who are one of our sponsors on New Mini Scotland who would like to invite NMS members to their MINI Coupe Preview Event next Friday 30th September - 6PM - 9PM at Peter Vardy 19 Seafield Road, Edinburgh. EH15 1ED...

NMS Scotland members can bring a couple of guests if you wish. I would just need to know the names of the members coming and the number of guests you're bringing along just to get an idea on numbers to pass on to Peter Vardy, I will of course need your full name which you can PM me with it and the number of guests...

I'll be on my own and coming public transport so please approach if you see some random bird with long dark hair and a deep pinky red tshirt and jeans and ask if they Joanna. Please! Bit concerned I'll be wondering around looking well lost and lonely like a right muppet! Might have a pink velvet coat on too - should be pretty darned easy to spot I should think! All else fails I might wonder about the carpark bits, looking for nms stickers and loiter near them. Again - approach !

Ha ha, the dude doing the bar flair is one of my mates...guy called Adam Ingram. Used to play American Football with him, and can genuinely remember the day he took his first flair bottle to practice and we all laughed at him. Safe to say he's pretty good now!

On to the coupe....I keep changing my mind every time I see it, but will wait until I see it in the flesh!

I agree about the height too - I'm 5'7" but like to drive quite upright. My head was level with the top of the windscreen so vision felt a bit restricted.

Just back from Liverpool so "cream crackered", but would just like to say a huge big thank you to Peter Vardy for their hospitality. They put on a great show with excellent food and drink. Don't know if we will be invited back after Mom talked the shirt of young Mr Vardy's back.........quite literally :blush:

Re the Coupe, it's definately growing on me and in the right colour scheme it looks good. We saw a black one with silver roof in Lloyds Carlisle and it looked great. Think it will become a big hit with the "hairdressers"...... could take over from the MX5 Paul? :D
