A mate of mine has asked me to clean his car. Now the car I was told is sound but had not moved or started in about a year. Well I wasn't sure what to expect but I did not expect this. I hope the pics show just how bad this car is.

Got the week to sort this out as best as I can. To add to this the passenger and rear windows don't work, and the brakes are shot, so need to get them off and have a look. Engine sounds sweet though very quiet.

Oh yeh there is grass growing in the boot.

Kinda wishing I hadn't offered.

Oh yeh Craig do you fancy returning the favour mate ;)

You cant do much when things are broke or missing, even when clean that wing mirror would still do my head in, but if its just a disgusting car I think there is more reward in getting it clean over say a nearly clean car.

A proper wash and I mean I’d foam that with G101 twice would make a difference.

Good luck to you sir, it’s a mighty task that’s no mistake.

Reminds me of a friends XR2 years ago, there was this smell and found a Kebab and my mate said I don’t think I’ve had one in six months…and he drove in this every day to his work with the window down…total class Smell in the car window down and don’t bother investigating what’s under months of rubbish in the back.

Cheers Stewart, it certainly is a huge. I found one wing mirror cover under the seat, so I hopefully can source a second one. This is however the least of my worries. Got the G101 there so do I use that in my snow foam lance, and at what concentration?

I'd go for Acid... Neat lol

Autosmart G101 is a highly concentrated multi-purpose cleaner, and should thus always be diluted to an appropriate strength before use. For general cleaning duties it should be diluted 30:1 (water product), while for more intensive degreasing duties it should be diluted 8:1 (water product). Autosmart G101 may also be used for wheel cleaning and synthetic sealant removal duties; in such cases it should be diluted 5:1 (water product) and spot tested before use. In all cases, an appropriately diluted solution should be sprayed directly onto the surface to be cleaned and then agitated thoroughly with a suitable detailing brush (a Meguiar’s Slide Lock Detailing Brush is usually ideal) before being carefully rinsed off. Ensure that you never allow Autosmart G101 to dry out fully before it is rinsed off, otherwise permanent staining may occur.

Can go down to 5:1 so they say, I have to say I only have the Megs APC that i have used to take my car back when I'm starting afresh but the G101 gets good reviews. You could mix 100ML G101 with your foam and as they say "dont let it dry"

Craig has left the country LOL

I think I might join him.

Rain went off so I went out to have a closer look dear oh dear.

BTW yes that is a little swimming pool and yes that is grass. The rear window was jammed hence the water.

Removed the boot lining and as is well underneath.

Well I done about 2 hours last night and was up at the crack of dawn today.

10 hours of solid toil on the car and I have had enough. The thing is my wife reminded me I am doing this as a favour so I have taken it up to a point where it can sell.

This really was a nightmare I actually can't tell you how bad it really was.

Anyway removed all the carpets and power washed them, then using a vax machine dried them.

It got no less than 6 washes with G101 which finally removed all the muck.

The rest was pure elbow grease, I used the G101 near neat to remove the mold from the inside.

The wheels were done using glue and tar remover plus G101 again, tyres with Begs tyre Gel.

Windows done with AG's fast glass.

Anyway very tired and weary I have taken a few pics, going to my bed now I think.

I took It along and they are delighted with the results which I have to say I am myself too. TBH it could have done with a machine polish but I have probably spent £20 on products already so it got a once over with dodo juice purple haze.

PLEASE LOOK AT THE BEFORE PICS AGAIN FIRST
