Factory Tour

Have the members of this site ever done a factory tour as a group? I for one would love to do one and it would be great to do a run down to Oxford. :smilewinkgrin:

I am awaiting delivery of my MINI Cooper in mid-June and enquired about going down for a factory tour and just picking up the MINI from the factory, but was told that the factory does not have a dealership on site and the closest dealership was quite far away.

Dealership is required to do checks and registration.

This is something I would however be interested in, I have never ever been on a car run, so my first run to check how my car was made would be absolutely fantastic.

We have indeed. We've done about 4 or 5 trips to the Oxford Factory tour IIRC. It's always an excellent trip and a terrific tour.

Last tour we did was in 2009 I think! We usually go in April/May time, but last year and this year there was the Highland Tour. Tricky to get enough folk to go on a weekend tour once a year - twice can be just too expensive.
