Place to sleep - Oban

Can anyone suggest a good bed and breakfast or hotel in Oban, is only for a one night stop over so something ideally close to the bay / town centre not on top of the hill.

Oban bay hotel is nice. Not bad price wise. Try easybreaks.com ;).

Have a look at this site.
You could always phone the tourist info centre, number at bottom of page on above link.

Sorry I cannot really recommend a particular place to stay, the folks we new with a guest house have sold and moved to pastures new.

You should book ahead as far as possible, Oban bursting at seems now that tourist season has started in earnest.

You may also find it more difficult to find somewhere in the centre of town and on the level as most guest houses on the hill overlooking the bay.

As Craig suggests Oban Bay hotel worth a look. Nice location on esplanade, a ten min walk from centre of town
