Has anyone got any more information on the 4+ card that John Clark are advertising.

Seems to be a discount card for cars over 4 years old, but I'm trying to see the catch!

I sent them an email last night and got this response

So is it a free card for discount parts etc or is just a way for JC to get more people to THINK they are getting cheaper parts?

Cheers

I don't see how this differs from BMW Four Plus, other than a discount on parts.

As i see it, people stopped taking cars to main dealers (esp BMW) when the cars got older as the costs were seen as large, so they introduced 4+ with fixed price servicing etc to tempt people back. JC's are just adding a slight dealer slant to it.

You should get the same in any BMW dealer.

Ask them straight out what their hourly rate is; then compare it to a BMW specialist. The standard of work won't be any worse at an independent; plenty stories on here of franchise work
