Just had a terrific battery charging week in Cheshire. We hired a cottage just outside Chester called Watermill Cottage. Got it for a bargain £350 on Hoseasons (http://www.hoseasons.co.uk/cottages/watermill-cottage-e4908)web site.
The cottage is sited on a working dairy farm so we had thought we'd be woken at 5Am every morning to the cows being brought in for milking, but the double glazing was so thick, we didn't hear a thing the whole time we were there. And the cottage is right next to the owners house which is right at the edge of the cluster of buildings making up the farm.
Holiday was slightly blighted by me contracting the horrid debilitating disease of Man Flu - more details on that here:

However, we had a really relaxing time, in a gem of an area with some great MINI roads.
Some pics (all taken with the crappy camera in the iPhone):

A tree. In a field. In the mist.

Tili in particular had a real blast. We went out each day but we were back mid to late afternoon and he just played in the garden or in the cottage all evening. It was as much a holiday for him as it was for us. But it did tire him out a wee bit.

The field opposite the cottage had half a dozen cows we reckon had been... "put out to grass" as they looked a bit past their best. Meet Ezmerelda.

Probably go back next year to be honest. Will try and avoid anyone with The Plague beforehand though.
