Hi all, not been on here since i sold my R53 S a while back.
My girlfriend is thinking of a Mini Cooper. Her commute is about 60mile round trip back and forth for work, 58 of those miles is motorway though. What kind of mpg can she expect, normal driving conditions, speeds etc??
The cars in question are 57 plates onwards.
Thanks in advance.....Ian

I had a Cooper as a courtesy car, thrashed the nuts off it and it still did 40mpg

Got a 57 Cooper here with stop start around town its been sitting at 40+ but if she drives at a normal pace on the motorway I’d think high 40s to over and into the 50’s. The thinking behind the actual computer figure on the car is that it reads about 3 MPG more than actual real figures.

If its taken it on a run say to the Highlands like Oban on a quiet midweek day 56+ is well within reach.

If you’re in the market for a 57 plate keep an eye out for DSC that my car build missed only by weeks:ragin:………and it came out the factory in September 2007.

The cars have it, most of the time the drivers haven't!
