Good stuff - did you get the car park just as you enter fort william?

baptie

sadly no, the council could not release that carpark under agreement with local traders that carpark cannot be closed apart from once during the year.

We have confirmation of the carpark next to the Nevis centre/shinty club, local to nevis centre, morrisons, McDonalds, petrol station and a stones throw from the town centre.

Registration hopefully open next week now we have confirmation of both venues the ball can roll once more.

I'm not doing the run, for obvious reasons! But I've decided to go I've them a hand at Blair Drummond...

I've got a ride up to Fort William, just looking for a lift back to Stirling or Denny as my ride up is staying in Fort William on the Sunday night. Anyone fancy giving me a lift home??

Cheers ;)

Cracking pics Craig!!! :cool::cool:

We didn't get that many.. My wee video camera I had planned to use decided not to play on the day, shame cos there were some cracking wee roads on the run.

Top job again by the Clan, excellent organisation, great route - Blair Drummond is an excellent starting point for the TR! :clap::clap:

My heart goes out to the guy (I assume) from Ireland in the Red Classic Cooper who looked like his car suffered a bit of a shunt during the run. Had a mangled boot lid and bumper to show for it - hopefully that's all and the damage isn't any worse than that. Totally gutted for him! :frown::sad:

All the prizes in the raffle looked ace this year too - £200 voucher for powder coating, £50 voucher for Kleers car cleaning products and lots more. If I remember rightly they also managed to raise over £4000 for the chosen charities, and more than £1000 of that was raised my ONE MEMBER!:thumbs up:

Shame there weren't more NMS cars there, means I got to win Best New Mini tho! :moonie::cool::thumbs up: Woo! A nice wee trophy and a MINI rucksack full of MINI cleaning products! nice!

Anyway, I'll try to get some pics up later...
Good job on the marshalling Craig, and well done Clan!! :thumbs up::D

That looks fun and some really nice Mini's on show.
Was the AA really part of the organisation, if so I tip my hat as that’s being organised…right enough with near 200 mini you would have to be.

Parking those cars at the other end must take a bit of work:thumbs up:

Craig
30th May 2011, 01:03 PM
Yeah Stewart the AA normally provide the van FOC, if anyone breaks down they only have to pay for parts. (or that's how it used to be). The vans goes round the same route at the back and picks up any breakdowns :thumbs up:

Great Pics Craig :thumbs up:
Any chance you could e-mail me full size, the ones of us leaving the park?

The run was great - the weather produced some amazing lighting which made the scenery look stunning, and the waterfalls we going full blast too :D

Even the run home was fun - my exhaust fell off on the A9 so I felt like I was driving a racing car the rest of the way home

That's good, it's a great car - he'd put a lot of money (and my GRS Intercooler!) into it and I knew he'd really miss it if he sold it!

Didn't get the chance to say hi to you Craig, but saw you there! Great photo of Smurf thank you ;-) As far as I'm aware, I'm still an NMS member though! I'm just not on here as much any more, I just don't get the time...

Wish I'd known you wanted to go on the run, I hadn't been on here before we left. Although we were only coming back from Fort William as far as Tyndrum on the Sunday anyway, but we might have been able to work something out!

Not to worry Vaila, I missed a couple others out to....

As it was I had plenty to keep me busy so kinda glad I didn't go up to fort William as it would just have upset me :frown:
