ok to remove the MFSW inserts to replace with new ones follow the proceedure below.
I never did this but, if you want disconnect the negative of the battery before doing this routine.

Ok first up pull the steering wheel out to give you the greatest access.
In behind the 2 spokes there is a small hole, seen below.

using an T20 torx bit remove both screws.

Once both screws are removed locate the hole behind the bottom spoke.

in here there is a release button to release the airbag. I used a 3 mm alan key just push it in and press, as you press you'll feel the airbag release.

pull it out the way enough to give you access.

Just pull the two MFSW bits out now to reveal the connectors.

Pull the single connector from the left one and the double one from the right one.

Now both bits are off.
Just repeat process in reverse to put on. When replacing the air bag just line up and press firmly on.
If you have disconnected the airbag the horn won't go off, if not it will only be a short blast.
