Does anyone know if painting my brake calipers would affect the years warranty I have with my Cooper?

Only if in painting them you caused damage or Mini could prove by painting them you caused the fault. (if one were to arise)

Eg. Due to you paining them paint got into somewhere causing a component to fail. You get the gist.

If something was to fail, it falls on the dealer to prove that what you did resulted/contributed to the failure.

Very tempted, Going to have my wheels powder coated so would be a shame to have 'manky' calipers

They will look so much better. If you can afford it get them done professionally if not then I take you time to prep them well, the cleaner they are the better the finish will be. I have a thread on it somewhere if you want me to find it?
