I offered advice on some used car prices in another thread and as I've had a load of PM's I thought it would be worth while starting a thread offering newminiscotland.co.uk members an idea of the prices on their vehicles.

Anything other than a Mini PM me and al give you a price however I think it would be worthwhile if you want a price on a Mini to post in this thread so others can get an idea of what the market is like for them. If there is a demand im happy to publish the prices each month but that might depress some of you :smilewinkgrin:

If your looking for a book value all i need is age, car details and mileage ie....

Mini Cooper, Chilli Pk, 2007 [57], 20K miles

Some options will add a % of their original cost, or on some makes or modes their absence devalue the car slightly if considered as std. For the purposes of offering Trade and Retail price info it makes little difference if its got fancy mirror caps and some upgraded wheels.

Car prices are given from the Glass or CAP guides which are the industry pricing guides updated monthly to reflect any movement in the market. Im also happy to offer my opinion on the market for the vehicle in question, these prices are only a guide as your vehicle is only worth what someone else is willing to pay you at the end of the day but will certainly help if selling, buying or part exing your Mini.

Any prices offered are simply my educated opinion of the vehicles worth and do not represent any offer to buy. :thumbs up:

Saleability will still depend on colour and spec of course, poor spec car in the wrong colour will struggle to get the above figures.

No worries mate, according to the pricing guides the JCW wasn't a factory model until a 55 plate, this does prove to be a problem with the 2001-2004 models for pricing purposes, So i can only price your 54 plate as a cooper s. My guess would be to add £1k ish to the retail price

Scratch that i missed the fact that you said it was a clubman.... my bad :blush:

FYI the mileage adjustment was only around £1600 (20k 58 plate is 14095/12600)

The above figures are from the Dec book, i havent got this months guides yet.... I expect the above figures to have dropped by £200-300 roughly.

I cant profess to know much about the clubmans to be honest, im not sure if they are good news or not. Best guess...... I would think a mini dealer would be reluctant to have to many of them lying around as again my guess would be they are kinda the black sheep (no offence) of the mini family, niche product on the second hand market.

On the positive side you've got it in the right colour ect with the right options, however most mini dealers would shy away from retailing your car due to the miles, it would cost them too much to mini assure it, so it would be passed onto the trade market.

So the short answer is i think you would get 10k against a new mini, maybe a little more if your looking at changing in jan... bear in mind they are dropping by around 200-300 quid a month.
